Happy birthday, d.a. levy!

10/29/1942 – 11/24/1968

love poem of a lion
by d.a. levy

on my right side
i carry the wind
on my left
the waters of time are singing
how many stars
do you see at night
when you lay on your side
alone?
how many sides
in a diamond sutra?
in a dream?
the thin cotton
covering you lines
cannot hide
the love between your arms
how many stars
do you see at night
when you lay on your side
alone?
