Yesterday the online magazine Hit and Run published some of my poetic raw materials (specifically, pages from the 1997 prison journal where I’d written/edited my poem “Cannot Believe William S. Burroughs is Dead”).  I very much like the concept behind Hit and Run.  Check out the “mag” at http://hitandrunmagazine.blogspot.com/ – and send editor Paul Toth a submission of your own.  You can also go straight to my poem by clicking here.

Earlier this week, my Serbian poet  friend Tatjana Debeljacki “pimped” me on her site as well.  Here’s the link: http://debeljacki.mojblog.rs/p-john-burroughs/152341.html.

As you might know, there have been a lot of birthdays in our family this past week or so: grandkids Jada and Dorian, brother Mike, step-dad Carl… with more yet to come this month.  Here’s a short video I took of Jada at Dorian’s birthday party on 31 March.  She just turned six, but can name all fifty states faster than I can.

And don’t forget that tomorrow (Saturday) Dianne Borsenik and I, along with several others, will be performing at Feed the Gays, to benefit a Cleveland State University LGBT and Allied Community scholarship fund.  Should be fun….

Peace and poetry,
John
