I’m pleased to annouce that two sites you oughta check out have published some of my poems this past week.  Check out CP Journal #5 by Covert Poetics (www.covertpoetics.com) and Troubadour21 (www.troubadour21.com).

Notes on the poems they included:

CP Journal #5:

Without Ceasing (http://www.covertpoetics.com/burroughs.html):
I wrote this in November 2008 in response to Steven B. Smith’s blog Double Feature Horror, where I learned about Bisphenol A, a building block in many plastics that is hazardous to humans.

Troubadour 21:

Foggerel (http://www.troubadour21.com/2009/06/08/foggerel/):
I found this going through my old journals… written in early 1994, at least a decade before I was known as Jesus Crisis, while I lived in a two-man cell at Lorain Correctional Institution, not long after my transfer from the county jail.

Rough Love (http://www.troubadour21.com/2009/06/08/rough-love/)
I wrote this on 14 January 2009 and debuted it during that night’s featured reading at Mac’s Backs Book on Coventry in Cleveland Heights.  Love for poetry can be rough, too.  It took us two hours driving in near-blizzard conditions to get to the venue.

Preacher Gunn (http://www.troubadour21.com/2009/06/08/preacher-gunn/)
Originally written 1 June 1998 at Marion Correctional Institution and long forgotten, I unearthed and slightly revised this poem an hour or so before leaving for my first featured reading on 23 August 2008 at Phoenix Coffee in South Euclid, Ohio.  A podcast of that performance is available at www.poetshaven.com.
