me reading last night in Bellville – photo by Dianne Borsenik

Had a very good night of poetry yesterday at Pumpkin Hollow, south of Mansfield….  Gina Tabasso, Dianne Borsenik and I were the featured poets.  They — along with emcee Mark Hersman, the Ohio Poetry Asscociation‘s Michael Schurch (whose birthday it was), and open mic readers David Francis Smith, Mark Jordan, Beverly Zeimer, and Pudding House‘s Andy Roberts — made it a very special event.  I’ll post more photos soon on my Facebook page (it’s a whole lot quicker and easier than doing it here).  I also filmed most of the proceedings — so expect random clips to appear in the Crisis Chronicles Online Library and/or this blog at some point in the near or far future.

Pumpkin Hollow Antiques & Cafe hosts readings every first Friday from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at 14 Bell Street in Bellville, Ohio.

Tomorrow (Sunday 9 August) from 6 to 9 p.m., Geri and I will be at the Barking Spider in Cleveland for a poetry jam hosted by Ray McNiece and his Tongue-in-Groove band.  Good times….  Check out his Facebook event page for more info.

Peace and poetry,
John
