Reading at close to 1 a.m. during last year’s Ingenuity Fest under (actually, on the trolley level of) the Detroit-Superior bridge in Cleveland was one of the highlights of my poetic life.  This year, primarily thanks to the efforts of Vertigo Xavier of The Poet’s Haven, poets and poetry will have an even bigger presence at Ingenuity Fest (September 16th thru 18th 2011).  All manner of northern Ohio small press publications will be available for purchase, and all manner of poets will perform and sign books all weekend at the Poet’s Haven booth and stage (near the Doodle Bar) on the east end of the bridge — and not just there.  A full schedule of poets is available here.  And check out http://ingenuitycleveland.com to get a peek at some of the other groovy happenings that are part of this year’s fest.

Here’s a special shout out to the Crisis Chronicles Press authors (current and future) who will read/perform their work at Ingenuity Fest 2011:

Friday 9/16 on the Poet’s Haven Stage
7 p.m. — John Burroughs (publisher, etc.)
12 a.m. — Michael Bernstein (Fracture Mechanics / TRAP DOORS)

Saturday 9/17 on the Poet’s Haven Stage
1 p.m. —  Steven B. Smith (Unruly)
8 p.m. — Dianne Borsenik (HardDrive/SoftWear and Blue Graffiti)
12 a.m. — Robert Miltner (chapbook forthcoming)

Sunday 9/18 on the Coffee Shop Stage
1:30 p.m. — Catherine Criswell (chapbook forthcoming)

Finally, here’s a short clip I recorded at Ingenuity Fest last year:
