My maternal grandfather, Bernard Eldridge Hanna — or, as we called him, Pa-paw — would have been 102 today. Here’s a photo of him as an infant, sitting on the lap of his mother Vergie, with his big sister Sadie standing watch. Years later (in 1969), earthlings would land on the moon for the first time on Pa-paw’s birthday.
